Today’s featured art is Cactus in the Hills by Paul Huchton
Until I moved to Texas, I had never seen cactus growing anywhere except as a potted plant. From watching western movies as a kid and an adult, I knew they grew wild … but
knowing something and experiencing it can be very different animals. I love to see cactus growing along the highway, in the edge of a field or as landscaping around someone’s home.
These are gorgeous when seen in photographs and they are even better in person … unless you touch them … don’t do it! They do hurt!
I like the frame and mat the photographer has chosen - it emphasizes the landscape and the greens and yellows - the image pops right out at you and grabs ya saying “Look at me!”
