Today’s featured art is Colorful Duck at Allens Landing DT Houston by Bill and Mavis Townsley
I saw one of these ducks in the parking lot at a local Walgreens here in Houston last week. It was ..
… completely unafraid so I am guessing it sees a lot of people at the tiny local neighborhood lake where I see a flock of them as I drive past to & from work. It had a tiny beady eye but it did not seem … beady per se … it had eye expression which surprised me.
It definitely looked me square in the eye … and waddled around following me … then it sat down behind my car to work on it’s feathers. I got back out of the car and shooed it away … running over one of the ducks was not something I wanted to do.
I had never seen one so close and of course I didn’t have my camera with me … I never do when life hands me a moment like that … but I found a lovely gallery by local photographers, Bill and Mavis Townsley, who just happened to have one
… so I get to write about seeing the duck and showing you their great photo of one.
The lighting is great and the detail of the duck is marvelous. The colors are true and rich as well.
